The company has published this application in the Apple store with which you can connect to your. I would be happy to provide any logs/screenshots to help clarify this and get the issue resolved. Steam Link for macOS is now available in the Mac App Store. I get the exact same overlay regardless of whether I am using the Steam Link app to stream or the Steam Client. Interestingly enough, the Steam Client streaming seems to have been updated with this exact same behavior. Disconnecting/unplugging the controller causes the "CTRL+G TO OPEN MENU" overlay to come back. The only workaround I have found is to plug in a controller, which causes the overlay to go away, and instead the controller overlay appears, which can be dismissed. Most importantly, this means it is impossible to hide the overlay itself, and it remains for the entire play session. Just pair an MFI or Steam controller to your Mac, connect to a computer running Steam. Click on the Connect button to the right of that device name. It worked first time I connected steam link and could see my desktop. You’ll find a list of nearby devices to connect to, including one called Xbox wireless controller. Hitting Ctrl+G does, in fact, open a menu, and shows the mouse cursor, but attempting to click on any item in that menu just dismisses the menu without doing anything else. On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Bluetooth. When I play a game in Steam Link and do not have a controller connected, an overlay appears at the top of the screen with the steam logo, large text "Streaming " and smaller text "CTRL+G TO OPEN MENU". You’ll also need a separate computer running Steam on the same Wi-Fi. The Steam Link macOS app is working great for me, but I am having the same problem as Dreamer. To set up Steam Link on Mac you’ll need a Steam account, a controller, and a Mac running macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later.
